Scope of work: Architecture Lead Design Consultant from Feasibility to Hand-Over
Our appointment was to design a new build house to replace the existing chalet bungalow. Working with the owners we developed a scheme for this 5-bedroom dwelling which provides 475m2 of comfortable living space very-much oriented to the client’s current and future needs, whilst responding to the character and environmental conditions of the beach-side l0cation. It is designed to robustly adapt to the changing weather conditions whilst also working to minimise its operational energy use through a highly insulated super-structure, and the integration of an air-to-water heat pump system that distributes low-temperature under-floor heating throughout its three floors. It is now a well-loved holiday-home for the whole family.
